Irene has extensive experience of advising clients from a wide spectrum of industries and has amassed expertise in advisory and dispute resolution involving full range of IP-related issues, including devising strategy in order to protect the IP assets of an organisation. She also has over a decade of experience as a lecturer of law, and brings her passion and insight of the law into her legal practice.
IP litigation, including obtaining interim injunctive relief on an urgent basis, as well as appellate matters to the Court of Appeal and Federal Court of Malaysia.
Advised clients on various issues concerning subsistence, protection and enforcement of IP assets and IP rights, as well as for related areas such as IT and technology law related issues.
Conducted ‘privacy audit’ for the clients’ companies to fortify processes pertaining to usage of personal data, implementing best practices and SOPs, and ensuring compliance with the law on personal data and privacy.
Represented clients from a wide spectrum of industries including media and production, pharmaceutical, oleo-chemical, oil and gas, e-commerce research and development, non-governmental organisations, registered societies and trusts, and small to medium enterprises in matters pertaining to protection of IP assets and enforcement of IP rights.
Advised and represented clients on a broad range of IP corporate-commercial issues, including partnerships, joint-venture agreements, non-disclosure agreements, IP-sharing agreements, licensing agreements, and proprietary notices.
